Mrs. Sampson moved to DeLand, FL at the age of 5, graduated from DeLand High School (Go Bulldogs!) in 1987, Florida Southern College in 1992 with her Bachelors in Education with a concentration in Social Science and minor in World History. She earned her Masters Degree in Education in 2003 from Cumberland University and is currently working on her Doctoral Capstone for Capella University in Educational Leadership and Management (www.exitsurveys.weebly.com) in order to complete her Doctoral Degree program.
She has taught and coached volleyball for many years. Beginning for two years at Deltona High School in 1992, Mrs. Sampson moved to Trinity Christian Academy for 5 years as their Athletic Director, PE Teacher, and Volleyball Coach. She spent two wonderful years with Centennial High School in Franklin, Tennessee (Go Cougars!) leading her teams to District and State Finals. She also spent valuable time coaching volleyball at Stetson University for three seasons but currently taking a break from coaching to raise her babies. After five years working in the private sector as a project coordinator and getting married to Mr. Sampson, she worked for Florida Virtual School for 6 years as a U.S. History Instructor before teaching at Seabreeze High School from 2013 - 2017. She is currently the Dean of Student Relations at Creekside Middle School.
She enjoys living history events for Civil War, Spanish American War and the Florida Wars with her husband and 2 children. She has 20 chickens (at the moment) with two dogs and a full schedule! Her cherished memories are the ones she makes everyday with her family and her students. If you learn anything from Mrs. Sampson it is that patriotism, loving for keeps, being present, Faith, and hope are things worth fighting for. Above all, though, you'll learn that love conquers all. Whatever you do, don't take time and chance for granted. Your history is being made right this very minute! So is your reputation! You would be shocked to know what your classmates will remember about you in high school! Don't waste a chance to live life. It is a precious gift.
Be grateful, work hard,
and BE THE CHANGE this world needs!
Human. Kind.
BE BOTH
